BOOKING PROCEDURE

Members may book up to two outings in advance. The attendance sheet circulated round the bus has space for booking the next two outings.

Telephone bookings may also be made to the Booking Secretary - -Gilbert McCurdy Telephone number  (7pm to 8pm)  Aberdeen (01224)  484361

Once a booking has been made the member is responsible for turning up or cancelling. If there is any doubt whether an advance booking has been made for an outing the Booking Secretary should be contacted.

Bus hiring arrangements are finalised on the Wednesday morning preceding a day outing and all bookings and cancellations should be made by Tuesday evening. Enquiries for vacant seats may however be made after Tuesday but these may not be available.

 Please also ensure late cancellations are advised to Booking Secretary.

Since the cost of the outings has normally to be borne by those attending an outing, failure to turn up or cancel may incur a fine. A member booking on behalf of any other person may be held liable for any fine incurred through non-fulfilment of the booking.

Bus departure is from New Telecom House, College Street at the stated time on the outing programme and a second pick up point at Gates at Duthie Park Boating Pond. Members should turn up not later than five minutes prior to departure time and should notify their presence to the Committee Member checking attendance, before taking their seat on the bus.

Unless an outing is cancelled by the preceding Wednesday the bus will run as per the programme. If for any reason a particular walk cannot be attempted an alternative will be arranged.

Full bus fares are charged even where only part of the journey is undertaken.  Junior Members will be charged half fare.
